Daneen, Zillow does not allow us to advertise or give helpful info here.  Zillow only allows questions & answers.  Zillow will find you.  I learned about their "good neighbor policy" when I posted some advice....

"Zillow does not allow us to advertise or give helpful info here."

Actually, Zillow does allow for helpful info. It's more a matter of "delivery". You can even, in a somewhat indirect manner, market your services to a potential client.

It can be frustrating to not be allowed to spam your services, or to simply post "helpful advice" with a "call me for more" tag line. But, imagine what these forums would look like if that were allowed. Let's be realistic. There's not that much generalized "helpful advice". You'd simply be one-of-many.

Instead, Zillow's approach allows consumers to ask questions and provide a focused target for advice and information, without having to provide their contact information to "a salesperson" (like it or not, that's the way many consumers view you when they "just want to ask a question").. Zillow's forums give you the opportunity to provide targeted information to a specific consumer's concerns, and the quality of that advice can help you stand out in as close to a one-on-one exchange as you can have with "the general public".

Consumers can then contact you through your profile (and some of the other REAs on these forums can tell you that this does actually happen, although I am unsure how frequently).

So, it's not a matter of "Zillow won't let you", it's a matter of "adapt to Zillow's model".
