2 newly built houses are for sale, one at 124,000, the other at 129,900. what is best price to offer

John is correct, only a local Realtor will be able to give you the answer you need.  They both could be overpriced or could be underpriced.

Hi Lilrose,
With the information you've provided, there is no way of giving you a good answer.

You'd really want to contact a local agent who has access to sold information and the market in your area.

They'll need to know the particulars, like square footage, lot size, bedrooms, neighborhood.  Then they would be able to pull comparable sales and derive a good starting point for negotiations.  And MOST homebuilders are happy to pay your agents fee, and it will typially not add to the cost of your home.
