50,000 drop in 9 months on 200,000 home

Profile picture for hamiltt
was 250,000 at the beginning of the year. Since the US dollar has dropped 60% since compared to the canadian dollar and 70% compared to the euro, this is more like a real drop of 180,000 in 6 months in real dollars. Dropped my price by 50,000 and no one is interested. I want to buy something more expensive and would if I had a buyer. It is a nice house, just a bad market now. The house next store was torn down and a new house selling for 450,000. I want to buy big, as with weak dollar, it is a hedge against inflation to own real estate in the long run.
