My credit score is 530, but I'm a first time buyer. Is it possible to buy a $84,000 house with no down payment or $500 down payment. Also, I am a veteran.

It is going to be tough to qualify for a loan with your current credit score.  I suggest that you work on getting that credit score up a bit.  I have a lender who has been very successful in helping some of my clients increase their credit scores.  Let me know if you would like to speak with him.
