The house at 7809 Prospector Drive is under some sort of renovation. It has been vacant for at least 8 months (as of Dec. 2007). It is very dated inside (circa late 70's), and has not been taken care of very well. This past fall, someone (apparently not the owner) pulled the siding off a lot of the exterior, and then the owner left if that way for about 6 weeks. It was exposed to the weather during that time. Now, with the current renovation, the owner (I presume) is putting back on new rock, and doing some renovation work, but it is being done slowly, intermittently, and not very well. I am a neighbor, and know quit a bit more about the house. However, the short advice to anyone who considers buying this house would be to do a very thorough home inspection, including the stucco, the status of the foundation (where I have seen significant cracks), roof, and so on. A buyer might even want to consider razing the house and rebuilding. I have been told there was a $1.5 million lien on the house, and that it was going into foreclosure, but it has not been sold yet. There may be some title problems (there was supposedly an attempted sale, but it fell through). The land has one of the best views in the valley (and a lot of land for the area), but the house is crap.
