We are not promoting this as much as we should as "Realtors" (R).  There are some restrictions.  Cannot have owned a home within last 3 years, Married you cannot earn more than $150,000 ... However Betw. $150,000 and $170,000 there is still a credit ... but a reduced one.  (Single is $75,000 and follows above guidelines)

The claim form from the IRS for the credit here also lays out the requirements for qualification and claiming it and they also have a FAQ on the credit here.
