Hi sefgm-
Our maps come from a variety of aerial and satellite providers and each are continually trying to update. It is a difficult task to update pictures for the entire U.S. Thus, our maps may be up to 2 or 3 years old in some places.
I do apologize but we don't have the exact time frame as to when the pictures will be updated. You may visit our website from time to time to check for updates.
In the meantime, you may upload pictures of your home on the website to show its current appearance. Just click on the "add/edit photos" link.

satellite/arial photo imagery is not taken/provided by Zillow-- it is obtained from an outside source. Satellite photos are often months or even years out of date, depending on how often the salellite/plane passes over and photographs that particular area.

A home was demolished and new one built but satellite image is still old home. When do you update?
