About multiple listing see below

Does Zillow provide an opportunity to list my home directly on the local multiple listing without being represented by a broker say in exchange for paying a fee?

To answer your question, no. Are you trying to list your home as a for sale by owner?

If you are listing your house by yourself the first question I would ask you is why? If you own a lot on your house and trying to maximize your dollars you may want to re think what you're doing. The fabled tales of your friend or neighbor who sold their home on their own and didn't have to pay anyone else in the process is simply not true.

You should consult a real estate professional in your area. Let them come to your house and evaluate it and then tell you what the comparison properties are in the area. You may not even be in a position to sell but you willing to spend money listing things and you're not educated in how it works. It usually results in a wast of money.

Zillow does have an opportunity to link your ad on Zillow to owners.com, which provides flat fee listing services and puts your listing on the MLS.     The advantage is you don't have to retype everything.  There are several internet based flat fee listing services, study up to find the best one for your purposes.

Interesting how 3 out of 3 agents responding missed an important fact.

No, you will need to contact a local realtor.

In some areas you can pay a Realtor to put your home on the MLS as a for sale by owner only - you have to shop around though...

NO they don't. No website can do that. MLS systems are all owned by the local Realtors and only they can put someone's listing in them. Zillow is just a big bulletin board to post listings on.
