" Does Zillow have any standards to uphold to regarding the accuracy of its data in general?"
LoL none at all which is the whole problem with zillow. If your read posts on here you will find 100's of complaints just like yours. The problem with zillow is that they don't consider you have any right to question their inaccurate zestimates and basically tell you to go away and stop bothering them. They call it a 'difference of opinion' even though they have no understanding of anything about your home, where it is, the lot position and grading, etc, are all irrelevant. In my case they even have me in a neighboring city 6 miles away and still won't correct a garbage zestimate.

I'm pretty sure you are the first person to realize that Zestimates are not 100 percent accurate.

About Zestimates link appears way down at the bottom of the page. The gist is that they aren't real accurate.

Accuracy of Zillow Information
As of now -- December 2011 -- our purchase of our home (closing escrow in mid-January of 2010 - almost two years ago) is not reflected on Zillow. Our purchase price at that time was $250,000 - much higher than the previous sale listing since it had been purchased by a contractor as a fixer (at around $160,000) and then was given significant improvements before we purchased it. If our January 2010 sale date/price were properly included by Zillow then it would, in turn, affect the price of comps in the area. The change of home values in the area would, in turn, affect the price of our house (in a sort of "circular-domino" effect). But since the data is not included, the accuracy of our home's information is wrong as is the accuracy of many other homes in our neighborhood. Does Zillow have any intention of correcting this problem? Does Zillow have any standards to uphold to regarding the accuracy of its data in general?
