Actually, it only takes a small amount of effort to include that additional information in the email, so it's tough to believe it's not worth including it. Trulia and Redfin both do it. I actually find the Redfin emails more useful, because they include the ZIP code.
Only searching by ZIP code isn't as interesting, because there are a few neighborhoods that can be spanned by a single ZIP. Or vice versa. This is why I set up a single search for all of Seattle, then look at the combination of ZIP code + cross street to determine if a house is interesting enough to click on.

You can do it now! Just type the Zip code in the address search box, and when it brings up the results, press the "save" or "Email" button! (They do the same thing).
