Any good real estate companies that allow you to represent yourself for minimal $ in Seattle?

Are there any good real estate companies that allow you to represent yourself for minimal cost?  I have my license, work at Microsoft, but would like to do my own transaction if possible, maybe with a bit of guidance from managing broker.

Yes there are options out there.

Now a days you can list your home and have an agent do the work for you and pay a fraction of the costs. It really would not even make sense to pay the fees involved if you are only doing 1 transaction.

Selling or buying? With selling, there are flat fee. Or Hu gryagent.com. Good is relative. If you are representing yourself, it doesn't matter if they are good or not because you are representing yourself. If you are buying, you may be able to find an agent willing to credit you back some commission if you do all the work. I would be interested in working with you on that basis.

That would be true whether the seller had a license or not, actually.

I can't imagine a broker interested in taking you on as an agent just so you could buy or sell your own property; the deal just wouldn't be worth the hassle.

If you have your license and want to sell, maybe you could consider a flat fee MLS service. They may be less problematic to deal with than trying to work under a broker for a one time deal and you can still represent yourself.

Selling is probably going to be problematic because of the liability concern.  Not only is the risk of a lawsuit greater, but the firm's malpractice carrier probably won't cover the transaction.
