I am supplying Trick or Treat bags to our local Mom's group.  They have a reflective tape on them and my name on the back.

I started to suggest a "reverse trick-or-treat", going door-to-door and giving the homeowner something. However, that could get expensive - and I'd probably be PO'd at you for injecting your RE business into my kid's holiday.

Mike's idea is not bad, but I'd recommend focusing on a neighborhood vice past customers.

Maybe the best bet would be to anticipate the holiday, and offer some sort of giveaway promotion preceeding the holiday (i.e., pumpkin pies for Halloween, turkeys for Thanksgiving, trees for Christmas). No strings, just "good kharma".

Of course, I'd also recommend spreading out through the year (maybe 2 or 3 times, but not all lumped up at the end of the year).

My office recently merged with another office and apparently one of their 'traditions' is a pumpkin giveaway. I'm not sure if we're giving the pumpkins to past clients or neighbors (our meeting to discuss the event is tomorrow) but this might be an option. The event is scheduled for two weeks before Halloween.

We've also done holiday wreath and tree giveaways the first week of December. They were ordered from a wholesaler and given to past clients at no cost.

I am sorry that whatever your doing is not working !! My area here is booming and our prices have hit bottom and are going up. You may want to see where the person is posting from and do some research before posting GHOULISH garb !!

For a real scare look at house prices and how fast they are falling.

Dracula can not put as big a bite on you as an adjustable mortgage can.

Buying a house to resell it in a few years at a big loss is truly frightening!

This housing market is scarier than a blind date set up by Frankenstein.

Witches and ghosts bringing monsters are not enough to scare people into buying a house now.

Seriously, I can not think how to put a positive spin on Halloween and the real estate market these days. When I think of Halloween I think of scary. Scary and real estate buying just fit together far to well today but not in the way a realtor wants it to.
