Any tips on finding a Green Friendly loan bank. Many banks home eq. rates are high for solar panels

Ask the solar installation companies for recommendations.  They may have a bank they do business with that offers favorable rates in order to gain business.

My installer two years ago made a recommendation.  My credit union (you should belong to a credit union -- much better rates on most loans) was able to beat their rate, so I went with the credit union instead.

I added some solar panels on my house up north.  I called the power co, with that same questions..They gave me a # of a local bank in the area that helped.  It was called Stockmans, it's in AZ thou.
