Well, it is surprising this profile wasn't deleted too when the other one was yesterday..., especially as he posted, "sorry, I thought the invite was real...".

I guess it goes to show, that if a profile doesn't create to many problems and flagging, it tends to get ignored.

Good advice is good advice. It doesn't matter whether or not someone has an advanced degree in rocket surgery. If they give good advice their advice is valuable. I've read some pretty ridiculous advice by people with impressive credentials.

If I don't bother to remember the name of the salesperson, does that make them anonymous?

What about posters who only think that they are anonymous or advice given by someone actually named Anonymous?

If anonymous advice has less value

Then... if we begin to say what Agents say will that take value away from what they say?
Will they then say what we use to say because what they use to say has lost value because now we say it?

I say if they say it then we say it so they won't say it....

The ironic part about this statement and what everyone seems to be missing is the statement was made by someone who is.....anonymous!

Even if someone gives you their name and credentials, it doesn't mean that the information is more "useful" or "accurate".  It is more important if they reference their sources and if they show the validity of the data or interpretation or methods.

I have seen plenty of NAR members on this website blatantly violating U.S. Copyright law, and even plagiarizing from NAR itself by not referencing the source as required by NAR's copyright and NAR membership.

Besides, the "professionals" cannot legally give "advice" on this forum without violating the provisions of their insurance policy, so none of it is "advice" anyway!  It is just "options" and "opinions".

Professional advice has led many people into foreclosure and ruined credit ratings.

What is your point here?

I've seen some of the anonymous advice offer far more value than some of the "professional" free advice at Zillow.

But, if you don't want free, "anynonmous" advice, why do you visit Zillow?

Not necessarily. Besides anonymous advice costs less than paid advice. Value like beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
