Borrowers are only allowed to have their loans modified once, and the program only applies for loans made on Jan. 1 2009 or earlier.

Does anyone have claification on this statement?  Does that mean that those who have already applied for a loan mod not qualify or does it mean that anyone who applies for a loan mod after this roll out only qualifies for that loan mod regardless of whether a loan mod was done before this roll out?

Heads up everyone, the scammers will be out in force! The MOST important part of the plan is:

Beware of Foreclosure Rescue Scams - Help Is Free!

- There is never a fee to get assistance or information about Making Home Affordable from your lender or a HUD-approved housing counselor.

- Beware of any person or organization that asks you to pay a fee in exchange for housing counseling services or modification of a delinquent loan. Do not pay – walk away!

- Beware of anyone who says they can “save” your home if you sign or transfer over the deed to your house. Do not sign over the deed to your property to any organization or individual unless you are working directly with your mortgage company to forgive your debt.

- Never make your mortgage payments to anyone other than your mortgage company without their approval.

LOL...Just because you're up and excited about this just means you'll have to wait until 5pm!!!

I can't seem to find anything on any of the new stations either.  Only thing I found is that Federal Judges now have the 'power' to tell lenders what rate they can offer a borrower facing foreclosure.

A site to watch ... a bit of an oxymoron in it's naming but possibly still of value:
