Are 80/15/5 mortgages still available in Northern VA?

Profile picture for jh4306a
I am looking to buy a new primary residence, but would like to lever up as much as possible. Can someone still find a 80/15/5 option in NoVa. Looking at a house in the ~700K range, have a great credit score and cash flow, but would prefer to limit out of pocket given interest rates. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

This program does not go up to 700k purchase price though

So why did you post it?

Acacia Federal Savings Bank does 80/15/5 loans, however they are structured as 75/20/5. This program does not go up to 700k purchase price though.

My community bank offers an 80/10/10.  You get a high balance conforming first mortgage (right now rates in the low 4's) followed by our fixed rate portfolio second mortgage product that comes with no pre-payment penalty.  Fannie guides above 417k require 10% down, so you would have to find a private jumbo lender that accept's 5% down (most are 20%+). I have yet to hear of anyone that offers one.  Let me know if you are interested in the 10% down 80/10/10 and I can go over the details with you.

jh4306a,

I know of no 80-15-5 still available, however, if Clay says they are, I bet they are. 80-10's, and 90% with MI or LPMI are available, and I have one bank that offers 90% and NO MI, but the rates on that product are not very competitive.
Best wishes on your search!
Jim

Looks like 80 10-10 is available on jumbo loan in N. VA but 80 15/5 is not.
You can post a request on Zillow and see results or contact a Zillow lender Professional from DC area and get their input.,

If you have at least $250,000 in liquid assets you could use a pledged asset loan for all or part of your down payment. They remain yours and you can continue to makes trades.

Happy funding, Rudi
