No they are not. Zillow has about 70% of the homes in the US listed on the site only a small portion of these homes are for sale. The information about the sales prices comes from the public record information for the local area. It is meant to give people doing research about their home/area a way to see what house are selling for. Some homes have less information posted on Zillow because the public records vary on what is included depending on the age and location of the house. The homes with the least information are in non disclosure states like Texas where the information is not released at all or homes that have had the same owner for many years without any reassessment having been done.

The site is only as updated as the agents update their listings. The short answer, no, not all the listings you see are currently for sale. Many have sold, many have been taken off the market...


Are ALL the homes & properties listed on this site for sale?
Are sales the basis of when you pick up updated information that's added to this site? I'm wondering because, I noticed other homes have much less information.
