"I think that any owner that is considering walking away needs to get legal and tax advice even before contacting an agent about short sale."

"That is true. Definitely. Get a Realtor who has successful experience in those areas and references would be helpful."

It would be funny, if it wasn't so sad. "Hearing" and "reading" do not equate to "comprehension" and "understanding". Important tools in a service industry - heck, in any industry.

I think that any owner that is considering walking away needs to get legal and tax advice even before contacting an agent about short sale.

Short sale, foreclosure, deed in lieu etc all have different benefits and liabilities to the owner so you need to get a team of people that can advice you about your options in advance so you can make the best decision.

Wow. Aside from sounding pathetically desperate for business, you really need to review Zillow's Good Neighbor Policy. It specifically prohibits "self-prmotion" on these forums. That would include trying to solicit business and including contact information (i.e., your phone, email, link to website, etc.).

I wish you were new to Zillow and could claim to be unaware of it's policies, but I see you've been a member since 2008. I hope you read contracts better than you did Zillow's policies.
