The simple answer is "No". The MLS isn't always accurate either, although it should be. It is up to the agent to update the information in a timely manner and sometimes that does not happen. You should hire an experienced realtor that can provide you with direct feeds to the MLS to ensure the best possible outcome for your search.
Some websites you might search in for public use are not direct feeds to the local MLS and require manual input from an agent to remain accurate.

I agree that your local MLS is the best source. Some areas will provide a public MLS access where general public will be able to see all active listings, you need to contact your REALTOR or local association.

Thanks so much for the information. Besides contacting the local realtor, s there any other way to confirm a sale before I see the recording in the county records?
Thank you, again,

Zillow and other national websites accuracy is mainly down to the accuracy of the sources of the info. ie a lot of the info is only updated at the speed of the agent responsible for the listing or the office they work out of. The most accurate info is the one supplied by the local MLS of the area you are interested in. ie always contact a local Realtor.

The time from a house closing to it actually being recorded in the county records can vary from a few days to several months. As a consequence, Zillow's data are only as accurate as the updated county records.
In some personal transactions in the last year, one was recorded within two weeks and the second took four months.

Are all the listings for houses for sale accurate, current and updated? Some websites are outdated.
So are Zillows listings accurate?
Thanks so much
