Are there records of the builders/material suppliers for this house?

My great-great-grandfather, Edward Binz, was a tile-maker in the neighborhood around the time my house was built. It has been suggested that the tile in front of the fireplace in my house was made and installed by him. Is there any way that I can find this information? I think it would be very cool if there is a link between my new home and my family history!

What a cool thing. I hope that proves to be true. You're going back a long time.

Zillow doesn't have that information. Maybe the county records would have the names of previous owners who you could try to track down whether your great-great-grandfather was the tile maker.
