A Realtor can also help you do a search for rentals on the MLS. There are a lot in Del Mar and La Jolla. It just depends on what your exact property requirements are and the budget.

Personally, I have had very good luck with the website VRBO.com which has owners of real estate in various vacation spots ALL over the world offering their properties for rent.  The name stands for "Vacation Rental By Owner."
