I don't. Being a good real estate agent is a full time job.

I usually refer my clients to people whom I have worked with in the past for certain needs, such as homeowners insurance. These services should be included in you due diligence as an agent so that they will not be taken advantage of. I do know of some realtors that try and stack these services on their clients for a profit but it is extremely time consuming in a job that has enough stress.

As a potential buyer, I would be very wary of an agent who offers other services such as those you describe.

The reason I ask is that I have seen it as a rising trend among some real estate agents. I assume because of the difficult housing market.

home stagers seem to be popping up like there's no tommorrow
I think it is ok to refer as long as the agent does not have financial gains from it. And if the refered person is one that the agent will use for his/her ownself. This adds value and convinence for the client.
Otherwise, there may be a conflict of interest.

If they are doing for extra income, I would suggest a NON-sales job instead. If they succeed in the NON-sales job it will significantly improve their ability to communicate with other non-sales people and improve their credibility.
It will also need to be unrelated to real estate to prevent conflict of interest, and constant selling and marketing to their new co-workers will be met with a different attitude than they are used to from their real estate colleagues.

Linda, you are passionate about shamelessly promoting yourself and violating Zillows terms of service?
Interesting.

I refer clients to other service providers. Helping my clients buy and sell property is my focus. That's what they hired me to do.
