Want to sell? Now might be your time

We are at a point where most agents don't have many listings, and buyers can't find enough houses to look at. Most of the homes that have been on the market all summer are either overpriced, need too much work, or some combination of both. Going into the fall and winter are typically slower cylces of the year, but I think sellers who have a nice home and are realistic on price, will find it a great time to sell! This dynamic was unheard of 12 months ago. What a difference a year can make! This may give some sellers the extra push they need to put their house on the market.

As a follow up to this thought...I think most people feel that the winter time is a tough time to sell their home. It has been my experience that buyers looking for homes during the winter months are often more serious. If a buyer is going to take the time to see homes in the cold and snow, they are usually looking to buy in the near term. Our market has continued low inventory, so now could be your best time to sell.

I concur. Typically the fall season and during the holidays is usually considered more of a slow time. But buyers are still out looking and buying! If you have a fresh new listing before the spring rush starts, having less competition works to your advantage.
