If a buyer asks you to pay 'their' closing costs add another 3 or so percent...
Just accepted an offer on my house....they offered full asking price and we pay their closing costs of $8700.0.....In my state, Washington you also have to pay 1.78% to the state.
As a seller it's costing me about 13%....approx $30,900 taken right off the top....In my state, Washington you also have to pay 1.78% to the state.
Hope this gives you an idea of what you could end up paying for selling your house....

Called Out,
In addition to the commission, you will pay transfer tax, which is $8.60 per thousand of the sales price, and title insurance. Title insurance varies depending on the sales price too. We have a chart to look it up on. If you bought recently you can turn in your old policy and get a discount.
You will get money back from the tax prorations.
You could pay for other things, as negotiated, like a home warranty or buyer's closing costs.

Average Closing Costs?
What is the average costs to sell a house? I know that there will be a 6% real estate commission fee, but how much will additional costs be (transfer fees, etc.)?
Thanks!
