Aynor is known for it's small town feel where everybody knows everybody. When you walk or drive down the streets of Aynor, you can bet that everyone you pass will throw their hand up in the air with a friendly southern hello. Aynor has experienced much growth over that past several years, but Aynor has still remained unchanged with its southern, small-town feel. Aynor is home of the annual Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival. This festival attracts thousands to visit the small town to participate in a celebration of the farm harvest which gives everyone an idea of Aynor's strong agricultural roots. The schools in Aynor are some of the best around. The consistently rank among the top and receiving awards yearly to confirm this. The area recreation department offers numerous activities for children and adults such as football, baseball, tee ball, softball, basketball, soccer, Movies In The Park, and you can even take a dip at the Aynor Pool if you don't have a pool of your own. If you enjoy fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, Aynor will be just right for you. Many of Aynor area residents spend lazy Sunday afternoons on the Little Pee Dee River boating, tubing, skiiing, etc. They enjoy hunting wild game in such areas as Gunters Island along the river and other forested areas. If farming is your passion, Aynor is perfect. Aynor has not forgotten is agricultural roots with farming still being a tremendous part of this community. Aynor is a community full of pride for its citizens, town, children, churches, and Aynor High's Battling Blue Jackets athletic teams.
