Bankruptcy

My bankruptcy ends in December, this year.  How is it viewed then?  I was told that after 7 years, it could not be counted against you when making a purchase.  I do have 10 K in the bank.

Could you describe what you mean by "ends"?   Is this the discharge date?   If the discharge date, then it is likely to be at least two years until qualified for a mortgage, however, there are too many details such as type of bankruptcy etc that are critical understanding the impact of whether or not you are qualified for a mortgage including the percent down payment (the absolute number), income, debt ratio etc.
