restaurant on corner of Walgrove and Washington Blvd. in Culver City. Can't remember the name, think it's Max's? Great breakfast, get there early on weekends because it's crowded and small.

Johnny Groats on West Pico Blvd. a couple of blocks east of Overland. One of the most popular breakfast/brunch spots on the Westside. Be prepared for a wait on weekends. But it's worth it.

Dupars at the Farmer's Market on 3rd and Fairfax is the best pancakes in the world -- This is old school L.A. Coogies in Malibu off Webb Way is incredible and you can hit the beach and surf afterwards. Bread and Poridge on 24th Street and Wilshire in Santa Monica serves black beans and pico de gallo with everything. If you want something light and healthy try Avotre Sante on San Vicente in Brentwood. Don't get me started on the food. I'm getting hungry!

Best Breakfast Spots on the Westside??
--Snug Harbor on Wilshire near 23rd in Santa Monica -- great private, tree-shaded patio in the back.
--Good Stuff in El Segundo. Spacious, friendly, healthy, in a funky little area.
--Martha's on 22nd in Hermosa Beach -- great outdoor beachy cafe, about 100 feet from the strand, be prepared to wait on the weekends for an outdoor table, but the people-watching is great. A real South Bay hangout.
