Depending on how long you plan to stay; but 9 times out of 10 buying is best.  There are some really great properties on the market and building has picked up as well.   Use Zillow to compare houses/monthly payments to what rent would be on rentals listed.

Good luck!

Honestly it depends on your financial situation. But more times than not it is cheaper to buy than rent these days. Wilmington market is very strong, we have a lot of buyers in the area which has been proven when the market crashed. Yes everywhere was hit at some point but Wilmington was not affected as much. We have universities, beaches, golf courses, and industries which have provided us with the opportunity to keep a stable market. So my answer is yes to buying in Wilmington, it is a great investment to add to your portfolio. Let me know if you need any help! Real Estate is my specialty.

Not sure of the market conditions there, but Wilmington is a lovely place!  I don't think either would be a bad decision.  I would see what works best financially for you and go from there.
