How is this self promotion!?!??! It is a vlog helping buyers out!?!? It doesn't say contact me or promote me at all!!!!
I LOVE Zillow but this good neighbor policy sucks! I post these SAME vlogs on Trulia, my own WP site, and local news outlets and have no problem. What is your deal?
What exactly made this "self promotion"? I need to know?

Zillow considers links to be self-promotional if they link to a website that could be considered self-promotional (i.e., the blog is on your website). In this case, it's not so much the content as it is the host site.
For the most part, links that are not considered self-promotional tend to be those linking to govt information sites, news articles, etc.

Was this another talking head vlog?
In studied observation on how the Zillow Advice section works, it appears the best way to put your vlogs on Zillow is to put them in your profile or on your website. Then when you post an answer to a question you can mention that you also have a vlog on the subject and it can be found in your profile/website.

If you buy cabin in the woods would it be called mountain dew diligence?
Seriously though, due diligence is really important. Everything from taxes, to HOA fees, local attendance areas for schools to zoning and permits should be investigated before you go beyond the inspection period. Keep the surprises for birthdays.

Hi Brian,
First we do appreciate all your contributions to Zillow. That being said, the forums are a place for back and forth discussion on the Zillow site. Posting a link to another site that is only a video of you (no matter what the topic) does not promote this. Also, the first line of the video is, "Hi, this is Brian Teyssier from Remax..."
You're welcome to post the details of the situation described in the video in text form in advice so folks can reply with their opinion.
The forums are not meant to replace your own website or blog.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
