The following is the data I use to guage if it's a house of interest. Of course you have to have pictures to capture my eye. Second, I look at (in this order) bed/bath, square footage, if it's all brick or frame, acreage, schools, remarks about condition, and tax information. If I like what I see, I search the mls to know how many houses in the neighborhood are for sale, their condition, and the amneties of the neighborhood etc. Even though I usually don't pay attention to houses that don't provide all of this information, I think in the long run this eliminates a lot of trips to houses I wouldn't think twice about.
I like Ziprealty's site. It is great to see the DOM (days on market) data. The little "interest" meter (which I assume is related to hits on the listing) is somewhat helpful in determining when a property is ripe for a price reduction. They have now also added a "Foreclosure" banner to listings which does not yet seem to be perfectly accurate, but still helpful.
I do not take time to view homes that are listed without any interior pictures. It is a red flag to me that the seller is not motivated.

Buyers, what do you want MOST in an internet home search?
