Buying a home in another country

Hi

What is the first step if you consider moving to the US and want to buy a house?

Best regards

Hi Nolas,

Your question generates multiple questions: Will you be seeking employment here, do you already have a position secured or are you retired? Will you be buying the property with cash or will you need to finance? Where in the US do you want to live (if you have employment that naturally gives you a geographic area)? What is your budget for a home? What are your expectations for the type of home and property you want? Is this a home for an investment, vacation only, or will you live here full time? Likely you have answers to these questions already— my advice is to find a REALTOR in the area you you want and begin a dialogue, that way the agent can listen to your answers and help you find the home that's right for you!

Best of luck

the first step is to find out from a local lender in the United States if you can get a loan.
Step two, call a real estate agent who works in the area and work with them.
Then the two of your should start to identify the areas that would work for you and your family to live in. Hope that helps
