Buying a home with very bad credit

I screwed up my credit very badly about 3 years ago.  I still owe about $9,000 on credit cards accounts which have all been cancelled which I am and have been paying religiously for over 2 years now through a debt management company.  I also owe about $9,000 on my car with a terrible interest rate (22%) because I bought it when I had already destroyed my credit rating.  I will be receiving about $25,000 in a few months and I really want to invest in a home.  So I am trying to figure out a strategy to fix my credit enough to do this and also still have enough money to put down on a house and get a loan.  Can you tell me how to do this or advise me on who I should speak to?

I am sorry you have had credit issues in the past, yet proud of you for attempting to move on with life and clear the problems.  Your financial background is very private and should not be discussed in a forum such as this, I suggest that you meet in the privacy of a lender's office to ascertain your readiness to purchase a home.  The best of luck!!!
