Buying a property with a "red tagged" storage unit in San Jose

I am planning to make an offer on a property in San Jose.  The property has a detached storage unit that was "red tagged" by the city about 12 years ago for plumbing issues (too many plumbing fixtures and other violations).  I searched the City Planning website but did not find any records of this code violation.  Should I be concerned and what's the worst that can happen if I purchase this property?  The main house has no illegal structures or code violations.

The worst case scenario is you can not get funding approved. Need to do diligence to find what it takes to remove the red tags.

Best advice is to go down to the City and speak with someone directly. It's best to be 100% sure of your purchase, rather than assume you know what to fix, replace, or add. The worst thing that could happen, they make you year down and/or bring everything to code. Due diligence upfront will save you time and $$$. Hope that helps... Best,
