Calif. Realtors up ante in bulk sale fight

Assoc. took an unusual step in its fight against bulk REO sales by federal agencies: It wants current leaders replaced.

Is this a good thing or not?

Boo hoo. The NAR needs to focus on the health of the market instead of trying to take control of the appraisal and loan process. The bubble has popped and a return to the basics of supply and demand is needed not professional propping.

A very very bad thing.   NAR is a professional organization working for the financial health of its members, not the health of the community.   We saw what happened when that was the prime focus less than a decade ago, and we need to learn some lessons from history.

Bulk sales are BAD for real estate.  As a So-Cal Realtor I am EXTREMELY unhappy with the way things are going down.

I have a lot of buyers that will never have the opportunity to bid on those properties because they were sold in bulk, at a fraction of the price my clients would of been willing to pay...

Best wishes from So-Cal and good luck
