I work over at wells fargo, we have new programs designed to help homeowners refinance and bring the principal balance down, the difference is we service our loans for life. We know people are having tough times, no one is preventing us from helping families. Our new program is mainly for people who have higher balanaces then the value of the house. There is nothing you can do on the refinancing end. If you have a hardship and are having trouble making your mortgage payment, you could contact GMAC to see if you qualify for a modification.
Can't refi -My loan is thru GMAC/Residential Funding Corp not Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac!
