Confirming Mark's point, I was going to answer from the other side of the question--my understanding of Indiana state law is that you can assign any contract  unless the contract states otherwise.  Good luck.

Hello Penelope, most REO sellers will not allow you to do that. The contract that you signed will most likely have some kind of clause in there that says no to assigning the contract.
