No SSN.
How about the down payment, what is the least amount?
What are my options?

Most banks that lend to foreign nationals do not require a SSN. Also every bank that I know will only lend to a foreign national on a 2nd home. Usually, this requires a 50% down payment with a minimum loan amount of $300,000.

Happy funding, Rudi

I work with a few banks that do not require a social security number.  I am more than happy to discuss options with you if you would like to email/call my office tomorrow.  I work with many international clients and have a tax lawyer associated with my firm that can help shed some light on the tax matters that go along with the purchase of real estate with foreign assets.

None. You need a valid US Social Security Number. You also need to be a Citizen, resident alien or a valid visa holder.

Before 2008, I would have suggested Banco Popular, they did loans with only ITIN:

Karliane, your most accurate source for financing would be a mortgage broker.  The mortgage world changes all the time so you will want to contact one of the brokers and seek a pre-approval.  Please let me know if you would like me to send a name along to you.
