Can I get a mortgage on an H-1B visa as soon as I arrive in Sacramento?I'm due to start work as Dean at a Californian community college on August 20th 2013. With kids who'll be going to a local school I'd like to buy a house as soon as I can, rather than renting for 6 months whilst my furniture sits in storage.Does anybody know if this is a simple process? I'm 53, my wife's 42 and we're able to go to a 20% + deposit, plus I'm on a decent salary. I've got no US credit score but good mortgage record from the UK.Any and all advice appreciated.Thanks.May 22 2013 - Sacramento00YesReport a ProblemProblemSelect oneOffensive contentIrrelevant contentSpam (pure self-promotion)OtherDetailsYour emailPlease enter a valid email address.Submit CancelContent flaggedWe will review this content.
