One of the best way to find out what your house is worth is to put it on the open market and see what a qualified buyer thinks it's worth. Anything short of that including an appraisal is really just some form of estimate based on varying degrees of depth and information.

1. call an appraiser
2. call a local agent and ask for a CMA
3. go to zillow.com and input your address
or go online and type in "whats my home worth?"

To get a Zestimate which is not an appraisal or a CMA, you can go here enter the address in the Find Homes box and hit the blue GO button. If Zillow has one for the house, a map will come up for the area. Click on the address box to get to the home page.
