Can I get out of the FAR/BAR-8I signed a blank contract on May 15, 2012. The only areas filled out are the Parties, Address, and price of the home. This is a modular home company, and they bought the property my husband found to put our home on. The issues are: We have been trying to get these people to get us in a house since March 2012, and still nothing. The property they paid for without telling us what they were offering, ---shouldn't we have had some say-so in that? the property is now found to be in a flood zone. Supposedly the house is built, but we haven't seen it, and it's not on the property. Last week I got a call that my financing was not approved. Got a letter from their financing people saying my credit score is 586. Just got approved today for a 175K loan from the VA and they had my credit scores MUCH higher. Can I send them a certified letter and tell them I no longer want to do business with them? What are the legal risks I take in doing so? Have not paid one cent so far. (No ernest $ or deposit) These people have been rude, threatening, and we go weeks without hearing a WORD from them. I just want to go a different direction.
