Can a buyer ask a seller for a buy out price. Seller wants out.

Currently under contract; escrow ends in 30 days. I'm the buyer and all contingencies are removed, loan approved (funding after seller completes termite fumigation), I'm ready. Suddenly, seller wants out (personal reasons). I'll be contacting a lawyer shortly, but anyone experienced this before? If the seller really wants out, can I ask for a buy out price on top of my earnest money, appraisal inspection fees, damages? In Los Angeles, thank you in advance.

It depends upon how your particular contract is worded so in order to get good advice, please speak to your Realtor or the Broker in the Realtors office about this. IF you do not get a satisfactory answer you will have to turn to an Attorney.
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect your GF deposit and inspection costs to be compensated to you.
This must be very frustrating and disappointing!

Let your lawyer advise you. They will be able to see the contract and we can't. There is a thing called sellers remorse too. Oh yes there is !!!!!
