The best reciprocal link strategy is simple.
None.
Most SEO experts agree that reciprocal links have been devalued, and possibly eliminated as a SERP algorithm factor.
It's simply not worth the time nor effort.
Focus on creating good content that people will link to.

Agreed on the link building strategy. Also looks like Ron Lee's Zillow Advice spurt only lasted one day, so perhaps he found a different way to get traffic.

Anyone requesting a reciprocal link from you is likely a shark. Be careful.

Sam nailed it. A reciprocal linking strategy is not the best use of time with regards to improving SEO.

I've always been wary of reciprocal links. I agree w/ Sam, provide good content and be careful of "too good to be true" offers. It's a jungle out there!

I knew it, Christopher, Ron is really you!
Seriously, Ron, don't search for "reciprocal links". Create good content and place it in a visible area for others to link to it. You'll get much higher quality links.

I'm not sure what motivated Mr. Lee to post all of these questions in one day, but it's definitely not Zillow hiding behind an assumed persona.

From the flavor of the questions a cynical person might think actions such as this are to designed to help boost Zillow contributions and presence as well as to find out ways to boost presence elsewhere. Ask a bunch of one liners, post quick few word polite replies to the answers that come in and next thing you know you have broken the century mark. Of course Mr. Lee is just a curious fellow, not that there is really anything wrong with that sort of multitasking post. At least some of the questions may get some interesting answers. I am going to follow a few of the threads myself in hopes of learning something. I am sure once this flurry has passed more substanitive contributions will be shared in response to others queries.

Mr Lee: Is there a reason for so many one liners?

Can anyone suggest good Reciprical Links for your real estate websites?
