Depends what you and your agent have agreed upon in writing. Did you sign anything giving them permission to make repairs on your property? Are they your property manager or listing agent? We need more info to help you here. did they complete repairs or did they go in for an estimate?

If you have concerns about how your home was accessed and access was provided by your real estate agent, you are best served by contacting the agent's broker and getting your concerns addressed.

Hello,

Any repairs being done on your home should be agreed to by you, as you will be the one paying for said repairs. I am not sure why an agent would hire a repair man and give them access to your home without your permission.

Maybe this was due to a misunderstanding. Agents usually do not make the kinds of decisions without seller consent.

I hope you and your agent can work this out.
Best Regards,
Kawain Payne, Realtor

I'm not sure how anyone would get into your home without your permission if they aren't using the lockbox? Need a bit more information please. Is the agent accompanying them and bringing them in for a repair? With their lockbox key?

Is this agent a property manager for you? If they are, then the short answer is yes. If they are not, and they are just listing the home, then the answer is no.

Thank you,

I would definitely need the whole story and the agents side of the story to know the answer to that!

Have you talked to the agent. Is there a good reason? You could talk to the agents broker and set up a meeting to find out more of the details. Thank You Suzie Marquardt
