Can you take out a page of an agent that is using my listing as his?

Profile picture for Ivette Munoz

Agent name: Fidel Delgadillo
My Listing: 2854 N Palm Ave, Rialto.
You might want to think twice about having this agent in your website.  If he keeps stealing other agents listing without permission, that can cause you problems.  I will continue checking to make sure that you took that page out.
Thanks,
Ivette Munoz

Maybe those faux agents should consider put the home addresses, prices and MLS number on p*rn sites across key areas of the photos.

Then the listings would get even more internet exposure whether the owner or real listing agent approved or not. I mean why would anyone object to more exposure? More is better, right?

Posting listings without the listing agent's permission is bad practice.

Profile picture for Dunes....
Agents do not participate in his type of thing to help the listing Agent get exposure for their Client or help a property get exposure.
They use it to Fish for Leads by practicing Deception..
They pretend it is THEIR Listing so people (Potential Leads) will call THEM..
Deception for leads...simple as that

Pathetic and so is the justification...But the sellers get exposure don't they?

Listing yourself on Zillow as the "listing agent" as that agent did is deceptive in my opinion. If I hired an agent to list my house and I saw another agent claiming the listing as their own, I'd be mad and I would file a complaint as the owner. Getting permission or listing it as a general listing is less of a problem.

Overall, I think that this is questionable practice and it opens the actual listing agent up to problems if the faux listing agent advertises the house with facts that are wrong or advertises in a way that the owner would not have approved of.

This isn't something I do but have you read your board bylaws. Most MLS boards automatically opt you in. This means anyone can advertise your properties. You have to opt out. Though your clients might wonder why you don't want them having as much exposure as possible.

I understand and I am sure Zillow will remove it. I am grateful that you plan to report him to his broker and the Board. That agent has 81 listings it makes me wonder how many of those he actually has permission to list. I'm sorry if my tone was a bit spiny in my earlier post, I meant no disrespect to you. Bad agents like that make me grumpy.

I flagged the listing page and added a link to your post here. You can flag the listing page too. that sends Zillow a direct email letting them know about this problem listing. Just click on the "report problem with this listing" in the "edit" menu under the main photo on the listing page. Hope it helps and I hope that you get your listing back soon.

I am not asking Zillow to take care of him.  I am asking Zillow to discontinue his page.  That is their Job!

There is no doubt that I will be reporting it to the board of association and broker.  However, meanwhile, I need Zillow to take that false page out.
Thanks.  :)

Sunnyview has a good point.   The hijacking of your listing is a single symptom, the root cause is an agent who has unusual ethics.  Why not go after the root cause?

Although I cam glad that you are posting this so Zillow can try to deal with it, I have a question. Why wouldn't you report this scumbag agent to his broker and the local Board? This is bad practice, but it will not stop unless agents like you stand up and finally say NO MORE!

It is hard for me as a a regular person to understand why you would expect Zillow to monitor this agent when he is a member of your own profession. Agents that claim listings as their own, advertise falsely and misrepresent are bad for consumers and for other honest agents. Please consider reporting him.
