Canceling a refi with a e lender

Profile picture for user1155755
I an having a terrible time with my e lender on a refi we are asking 170,000 on a house that has appraised at 550,000 we have no other obligations and we own several pieces of property outright. At this point we want to have no other dealings with this lender. We have a credit score of 760. If I cancel on my own will it hurt my credit rating?   thanks Bill

I think its about expectation, not "big banks" vs smaller shops.

If you apply knowing that it'll take 3 months, then there' s no loss of expectation; if you apply thinking it'll take two weeks then there is.

Wetdawgs: I understand what you are saying only the problem is there is a lot of people that need the help and cannot find a solution. Do the research on Prime Lending. I appreciate your input just getting aggrivated with the big banks. They just keep giving people the run arround.

@James:   It looks as if the Zillow moderator has gone through a lot of your posts with a comment about the Good Neighbor Policy.    I suspect that is a reminder that Advice is not the right section to say "call me" or "send me a private message" (or similar).

Fishing for clients is done indirectly on Zillow by providing excellent advice.

If you don't like your lender you have every right to fire them.    Any fees you've paid are probably non-refundable.   That's the only draw back.

Your credit score will not be affected by cancelling your loan with the e lender.

If you go somewhere else to refi, then the new lender will pull your credit report again. This may lower your score a few points. However if your score is 760, then your scores should still be good enough to qualify for the best rates.
