Cashcall.com review

Hello

Has anyone had any experience with Cashcall.com? Currently I have my loan with Chase , 15 yr fixed. Cashcall is offering .5% less on APR, and that even with no refinance cost. Something seems to good to be true. I read many bad reviews, but mostly for Personal loans. Any experiences with mortgage loans? They say eventually they sell the loan to Citi Finance, so I am thinking it should be simple enough. Any suggestions?
-Ryan

Don't fall on Cash Call. I had signed all the documents they required, almost a done deal with notary public in all docs, 15 yrs at 3.125%, then they denied my loan after 2 days of signing. They are out there fooling people.

CashCall was great for me too. The loan processor [removed by Zillow moderator] walked me through every step of the refinance and funded my loan right in time his is not a promotion so please do not remove. Their service was good.

CashCall is a reputable lender. However, Zillow Mortgage marketplace (ZMM) lenders have better pricing than CashCall. CashCall advertizes ZMM and they are not even on first page most of the time.

I could not have asked for a better experience. I have had 15 loans or so throughout my life and this loan process was by far the easiest, most pleasant experience I've had. I strongly recommend them.
The Loan Officers who helped me were Christopher Barton and his assistant Leanne Potter. They were professional and followed through with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
I was also able to get the best rate available and there were no costs, no hidden charges, no surprises.

I have to agree.

I just refinanced with them when rates were very volatile going from nearly 4% to 3.5%.  Initially the person I was with, Sherri, didn't seem to understand what she was doing or was mixed up about debt to income ratios.  Anyway, she left and Edgar and Monet stepped in after I thought the loan was never going to happen and they put it all togetherat 3.5%.  No fees, no points.  Nice cash out and they even reimbursed me for fees paid to a mortgage broker at another company who turned out to be very unprofessional.  Cashcall did not have to do that at all.  Very impressed!

Callcall was great.  They tell you what they need, you get the paperwork in to them, they take care of the rest.  Representatives were excellent to deal with (very nice).  I used Michelle Ngo and Helene Knepper out of the Anaheim, CA office.  will not use anybody else again!

I have contacted Cash Call Mortgage after two unsuccessful refinance attempts within last 3 months.  Geraldine Galang (sr. loan officer) was very pleasant and persuasive, yet what she was offering sounded too good to be truth. Considering that I had two more weeks till lock expiration with the other company, I decided to take a risk.  Whole process with CashCall took less than two weeks. Angela Camacho (loan processor) was very efficient gathering info and getting it to underwriting. As a result, I got loan with no points and at no cost .  It was the easiest and quickest refinance I have ever gone through.

I just recently refi with CashCall to a 30-yr fixed and my experience was great. I had done a couple refis in the past with other companies but this was the easiest and the quickest. I read some very negative reviews here and on the web but my co-worker had recommended them so I went ahead and gave them a call. They were offering a rate that's .25% higher than the lowest I saw on BankRate.com so I asked them if they would match it. The rep (Jason) said they would do whatever it takes to get my business and they did match it. He told me they could close in as little as 3 weeks, and it took them 22 days to get my loan done at the rate promised. The loan person (her name was Lori) was prompt in answering all my emails and kept me updated on the progress. I can't speak for others, but for me it was a painless process and the best thing was it was no cost, I didn't even have to pay for the appraisal up front. I hate paying for all the fees (even if they are rolled into the loan) and this is exactly what I was looking for.

Ryan,
I currently have 2 mortgages with CashCall and recently applied for a 3rd mortgage. The first 2 mortgages went very slowly, but I did get the rate and terms that they offered. The 3rd mortgage that I applied for on 9-1-12 was for the purchase of a home for my daughter of which I was a co-signer. Everything was approved and loan documents were signed and then on the day of closing on the property, they reneged on the loan and refused to fund the loan becuase they said my daughter had to qualify on her own. How they could say this after loan documents have already been signed, is beyond me.

When I first spoke Chris Sauser at CASHCALL it sound too good to be true to me as well. However I have decided to give it a shot and in 18 days I had my no cost loan was funded. They are fast paced company give you a shot period lock in rate and I was nervous about that because I have never seen a loan close this fast.

Mike Kirchmann who was the processor my loan very smoothly and during the process he has asked me to sign application multiple times because he had to adjust the numbers as he discover items on my credit or appraised value etc. Mike assure me that it will all make sense in the end and I did responded promptly to his requests.

In the end my loan was closed as they promise me and I am very happy with their service.

I have refinanced with them 2 times already.  So far so good... Nobody's perfect anyway, there were some hassles but no big deal.  They are honest, reliable, and can close in 3 weeks - free appraisal, no closing costs, lowest rate possible (period).

I applied for a $372k purchase money home mortgage with Cash Call. My loan was approved and loan documents were signed on 10-20-12. My escrow to purchase the house was to expire on 10-30-12. On the day before the close of escrow, they reneged on funding the loan, even after I signed loan docs, and , I got an e-mail from them saying they wanted to start all over and renegioted the loan terms. I had to close escrow without a loan by using all of my cash that I had saved for retirement. My attorney says I have a case against them for breach of contract and I am now weighing my next move.

I guess it really depends on your situation.  I refinanced at least three times with Cash Call and I have nothing but great things to say about them.  It's easy and they seem to require less paper work then some other mortgage brokers who wants to dot all I's and cross all T's.  Maybe because Cash Call is a direct lender, they don't seem to require bundles of paper work such as proof of HOA statements, Promissory note on a mortgage I co-signed w/ a buddy, etc... One time my LTV was higher than the 60% I told him, they still honored it the rate that we locked.

We are currently doing a refi. with cash call and it's turned into a mess!  We bundled our mortgage and a home equity loan into one at a lower rate of 3.250 for 10 yrs.  We were "supposed" to close this past Friday...."supposedly" they wired the payoff funds to the two banks holding our mortgage/equity loans.  Today is Tues. and neither bank has received funds!  As a result, we had to pay our regular months payments for these in addition to the interest rate payment to close.a double mortgage payment that left out acct. near 0.
Go ahead and try to get ANYONE to talk to you.  Neither our original loan processor or the guy that walked us through the original process will get back to me after several e-mails and messages left.  DO NOT USE!! Filing complaints to the BBB as well as the State Attorney Generals office.then on to get legal advice.

Cashcall is shady. Their broker promised me a fixed rate of 4.5% but when the documents came in the rate bumped up a point to 5.5%. The broker tried to explain it as a risk with my property but I reviewed it with 3 times before agreeing to process the loan. I have learned they are known for this. They bait you with the promise of a low rate and then switch you to a higher rate as it is more money for them. I would stay away.

I just closed a refi with CashCall.  The loan processor (Mai) was always professional, friendly, always available (early in the morning and late in the evening even) took care of every issue promptly, returned every phone call (not that many were missed) and answered every email.  If she needed a document she let me know right away and we  cleared up each issue immediately.  She was on top of things AT ALL TIMES. I don't even think I really needed to call her because she was so on top of things she was contacting me regularly. We talked to 3 or 4 lenders regarding our refi, and had decided to go with another lender but decided to check CashCall on a whim. Once we did the other lender called us and offered to meet CashCall's rates and lower their fees.  Even though the other lender was CHEAPER, we stayed with CashCall because of the excellent way they handled our loan. We closed in under 30 days.  I might add that our loan was rather small, $75,000, not one that would make them a whole lot of money, but we were treated as though it was as important to them as a $350,000 loan. I will use and refer CashCall to friends without question.

Just closed on a new 1st loan with Cash Call. 3.875%, no points, no costs of any kind. I'm a professional real estate broker/investor and have been involved in over $500 million in sales and loans. I have NEVER worked with a better lender. Exactly 9 days from the date I first contacted them to closing.
I was skeptical when I first called them after hearing their ad on the phone, especially since they are better known for making payday loans. But my skepticism disappeared when they approved my financials in 2 days, the appraiser showed up on the 3rd day and I signed loan docs on the 7th.
They were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Linda - You should have already gotten your $15K by now. Who have you been speaking with? You should call the Escrow Officer that handled the closing and find out where it is (ask for a tracking # if fedx etc). Weird stuff happens sometimes...like maybe your $ mistakenly got sent to another client of the escrow company, the loan broker, the new lender etc.

As hard as it is to say it, I doubt cashcall has anything to do with the delay at all...although I would like to speak with someone about their new tactic of giving the APR sh-peal 'before' the radio commercial

Does anyone know how long the mortgage company can hold on to your money on a cash out refinance?  It is my understanding that when the loan is funded your cash out is funded at same time.  It has been over a week since my loan funded with Cash Call and they have yet to send me my $15000 cash out.  Which means, they are collecting interest and I am paying them intereste on this same money.  Is it illegal for them to hold on to my money like this?  When I call its just, "I don't know whats taking so long."  "I'll check", and never a call back.  What can I do?Help

I started the refinance process with Cash Call the first week of February. One of their employees was very nice, another one was very rude. They sent a less than professional appraiser  to my home about 6 weeks ago.
After not hearing anything from my go to person with Cash Call I emailed them. The appraiser had stated she could not find any comparable sales in my area, therefore she couldn't do the appraisal. I was then asked to send a copy of my last appraisal to Cash Call. I did as asked. Then they wanted to know if I knew any appraisers that they could contact in my state.
I gave them that information. You would think a company as large as Cash Call would have that information. Two weeks passed and I had not heard anything so I sent another email to them. Still nothing. I finally emailed another person that I had spoke to in the beginning. Finally I get an email from the person I had been corresponding with for nearly 2 months yesterday March 28th, she informed me that someone else was working on my refinance now. A few minutes later I get another email telling me that after she spoke with the new person, she was informed that they had closed my file after an extensive search in my area there were no comparables to my home. I did some research and found that over 2000 homes were sold within a 35 mile radius of my home since Feb 2, 2012.
I emailed the person back and told her that out of 2000 home sales at least 3 should have been comparable to my house. She has not answered my emails.

I have refinanced my two homes about 8 times total in the last twelve years.
My experience with Cash Call was by far, the best I've had. They were extremely fast. Straight to the point. We closed in less than 3 weeks at an unbelievable rate on a No-Cost refi. No hidden charges, easy and accurate communication.  Two people helped me, Ray Jauregui, who took the call and  Will Thrower, the processor, who was exceptionally good, answered all my emails and kept me posted every step of the way. I recommend this Co and specially Mr. Thrower for your mortgage needs and will use them again.  Santiago S., Carlsbad, CA

I was extremely hesitant to refi with Cash Call.  I called them after receiving a flyer about their no cost re-do refi.  They quoted me 3.875% with closing in 15 days on Jan 17, 2012...no points or fees of any kind for a 30 year mortgage.  I didn't believe this quote since it sounded too good to be true, but since they pay for all the costs (including appraisal and notary), I was out no money if it didn't close.  I closed the refi on Feb 1, 2012 after a very smooth and quick escrow.  The processor, Jessica C, was very professional and answered questions right away.  I  just wanted to write a positive review for Cash Call Mortgage since there are so many negative reviews out there.

" Just got a 10-year refi no points at 3.125%, no closing costs.  cash call is awesome if you have good credit and a steady income source.

A lot of brokers here put them down because they can't compete with them!"
______________

If you really believe that, then you drank all of their Kool-Aid.
If you have the great credit and steady income source as you suggest, you could easily get a 10 year @ 3.0% (3.0% APR) with no closing costs assuming you had at least a 200K loan amount and 20% equity.

Brokers put down Cash-Call because they are the same company that charges up to 139% APR for their personal loans. Competing with their rates / service is not a problem.

Yes, we too, closed near the end of December, with a 10 year,  with cash back -- for 3.125 !!!  and No costs !!  It is an assembly line there so you have to know what to expect.  I referred my neighbor and the loan processor that worked on our loan is no longer there. Like another poster said, they must have an enormous turnover rate.  Definitely not for rookie borrowers but for experienced borrowers with great credit and good income, they offer a good loan. .Again, I would not recommend them to rookie borrowers, but they worked well for us.
