Chking with reputable Real Estate Agents on comparables, our value was alot higher then Zillows? Why

Also, when I updated facts about home, 3 bdrm instead of 1, 2 full baths instead of 1, etc..  the value stayed the same?  This doesn't make any sense?  Homes around us that have less -  are valued and sold for more?? Please help me understand this?

Actually, zillow does run the public info through an algorithm to derive a generalized estimate.  As you say in your other question, when a local RE agent runs a comparables report they tend to get different results because they are working with more specific info not available in the public records.

This is interesting.  I would have expected a change when you modified the number of bed and bath rooms.  You can click the little grey flag on the bottom right of your question to flag this question for zillow to review.

Zillow receives their information from public records - they don't come up with the values... Hope this helps!
