City of Compton, CA Map is wrong.

Why is the map of the city of Compton wrong in zillow. According to zillow, some parts of Willowbrook, is Compton. Some parts of L.A County should be in the city of Compton. I am not going base one what I know but base on the city limits of Compton. The property taxes for the city of Compton are way higher than for Willowbrook, an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County.  Even the water rate is different, in some parts of Willowbrook they pay a flat rate of 55 dollars while in the city of Compton the water is more expensive. In addition, if someone is trying to purchase a home this information is vita. There are neighborhoods in Compton too, like the Richfarms Lands and Sunny Cove.

Why is the map wrong in Zillow ? Because Zillow is not perfect.

Yes, you are correct, Zillows map of Compton includes county areas on all sides of the city of Compton. Regardless, values here are just guesses, not fact, and you get what you pay for. Zillow is free, and should be considered for entertainment purposes only . If you want a super accurate value, you will need to hire an appraiser or consult a Realtor.

I believe Zestimates are based on similar ZONED properies, so homes within Compton are zoned CO1 (Compton), homes in LA County are zoned LACR1, so Zestimates differentiate between unincorported and incorporated areas, which should result in farily accurate results, as I mentioned in this post...
