Colorado Springs mortgage broker accused of fraud (Alternative Lending)

I looked her name up with the Colorado Divison of Real Estate, she is with Alternative Lending.  Another one bites the dust.  Oh well, one less dishonest broker out there!

Alternative Lending has not complaints against them, just this one gal.

Yeah, you see that she did 320 loans in 2 years?  My thing is, are they a hard money lender?  I am not quite sure how they got the approval through U/W for a $900 payment when the borrower only makes $900/mo.  I think the U/W should be at fault just as much as the L/O.  Must be money passing under the table somewhere!!

320 in two years....Only thing her employer was interested was his portion of the split.  We have some cases similar to this up north.  The majority of the time the boss knows all about how their LO's do business just choose to look the other way as long as the checks keep rolling in....

"I think the U/W should be at fault just as much as the L/O. "

The dirty secret of the industry.  With all the negatives about the sales people, the fact remains, someone, perhaps several people, was always been there who had every opportunity even obligation to say, "NO!"  "NO!" to hiring the person.  "NO!" to taking the loans.  "NO!" to the loans.  "NO!" to more loans.  "NO!" to continued employment.

You are right, they look the other way and want the checks to keep rolling in.  That is why I own the business and do all the loans myself, no other L/O's.  No one else to watch after, but myself.
