Concern that the price you place on our home is out of line with others in the area. Suggestions?

Since sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many people seem to be dis-grunted with what a Zestimate is or isn't, obviously it is not clearly known to the consumer how they are obtained or used.

Perhaps putting the explanation link of what a Zestimate is next to the actual Zestimate, rather than at the bottom of the page where a consumer has to search for it, would be better.

I guess the real question is why are you concerned? These zestimates really have no merit. They are no more a guide to your home value than the stars are a guide to a novice astronomer. If you are looking for the real value of your home consult a local Realtor and have them do a CMA with real sold comps. That is the next to the best way to determine value. The best way is to put it on the market and see what it sell for in the open market.

@Joe

I hate reading these 'platitude' posts from agents on here that imply the original poster is a zidiot for even asking such a question as you have. I see you claimed your home and edited the facts on Christmas Day, so any impact would flowed through by now on Zillows steam powered computer. well what other computer takes 8 weeks to update records?

Your concern is shared by many people who suffer the same fate as you with a nonsense zestimate on their home and it is outrageous that Zillow can peddle these valuations to make advertising revenue without any accountability to the homeowner, even when the erroneous valuation is brought to Zillows attention.
